We are now over halfway and staying in Sao Joao Da Madeira. We have found that six people trying to get accommodation in pilgrim hostels is not always possible. Some hostels have only 6-10 beds so we have been prebooking where we can. Today our only choice was a hotel. Hence a little bit of luxury. We are having a team meeting shortly to try and work out our accommodation for the next few days.
Yesterday we shared the halfway point with the Three Wise Men who have now become the Four Amigos as they have been joined by Kim from South Korea. We left Agueda at 6.30am and the first hour or so was spent navigating our way through the fog to Albergaria a Vehla which we reached around 1.30pm. Time to get some much needed washing done! We got a cab to a place for dinner. Something we noticed is the predominance of family businesses. The taxi service was run by dad and his sons and his daughter ran the cafe. The had the best hot dogs ever. Tomorrow we head to Grijo.
Halfway point with the Four Amigoes. Drying clothes the Camino way. An "egg tree in Albergaria a Vehla. Ruins in Bompasta. Jacqui enjoying pizza for breakfast on the way to Sao Joao da Madeira. After a hard day on the Camino, Constantine and Molly Moo enjoyed a little bit of luxury. Where in the world are they Jasmine?
