Cortica to Ansiao

I never thought I would be disappointed not to have walked 27kms in the rain. The day started cold and wet and got colder and wetter. At Alvaiazere we stopped for a hot drink and met up with Peter and Sue and the Three Wise Men. Not long after Peter and Sue called it quits for the day, as did one of our group. I had to accompany her to our next stop. While waitingng for a taxi I got talking to Julia, who grew up in an orphanage, taught herself to speak English and then taught tourists Portuguese. She shared a legend with me. When the new moon coincides with thunderstorms it will rain for 30 days! Given the last few days I think she might be right! When the rest of the team joined us I was quite envious heading their stories. The day ended with a delicious meal at a local restaurant.
