Today we walked from Tui to O Porrino. A gentle walk through forests, alongside streams, and a couple of villages. When leaving Tui we passed through an older part of town with the usual churches (most closed), cross waymarkers, and abandoned houses.
As we left Tui we saw another Roman bridge, some interesting Camino sculptures. The local police patrol the area out of Tui to prevent any untoward actions against pilgrims.
While walking through the forest we phoned home so Jay could share some the walk with Mum, Nan, and the children. At a cafe we met two women from Auckland. Walking alongside the streams was delightful. Spot the shadows made by water insects dancing on the water! At one point we were able to choose a shorter route through a semi industrial area, or a longer picturesque route. We chose the latter.
One of the delights today was the bagpiper in the woods.
Dianne Porter I found a stone for you and left it on one of the waymarkers. It was multicolored, and reminded me of your many creative talents.
Just a couple more photos of Jay chatting with a lady from Louisiana, and some way markers. Off to Redondela tomorrow, rain is forecast
